TDM completed a full railway station SISS installation at Ivybridge for GWR. The project upgraded CCTV, CIS displays and Help Points across the station. As a result, Ivybridge now meets modern safety and communication standards. In addition, the programme followed a structured and fully compliant delivery process.
Before this upgrade, Ivybridge Station had no CCTV coverage and depended on older WebCIS Help Points. Consequently, GWR required a full SISS installation to improve passenger safety and real‑time information. The project also needed ES4 and ES5 design, Network Rail Approval in Principle and Landlord’s Consent. In addition, long cable distances meant TDM installed node cabinets and OM4 fibre to support the new systems.
TDM delivered the SISS installation through a clear and efficient process. First, the team completed detailed surveys to confirm site conditions. After this, TDM produced all ES4 and ES5 designs and secured the required approvals. Furthermore, the team pre‑configured all equipment in the Crawley workshop, which reduced risk and improved installation quality. Finally, TDM installed the platform cabinets, connected all SISS devices and completed commissioning before handover.
The Ivybridge Station upgrade shows TDM’s capability to deliver complex SISS projects. As a result, GWR now benefits from improved CCTV coverage, upgraded CIS displays and modern Help Points. In summary, this project demonstrates TDM’s reliability, technical capability and proven delivery record across the UK rail network.
