What Sets TDM Apart
TDM has been delivering CCTV surveillance systems since 2000. Rather than a broad claim, this reflects two and a half decades of hands-on experience in environments where system failure carries real operational consequences. As a result, we design and specify systems with long-term reliability as the primary objective.
When a CCTV manufacturer ceases trading, most contractors walk away. TDM does not. We have maintained critical CCTV infrastructure for over 18 years for a single customer, including navigating the closure of the original equipment manufacturer and establishing alternative specialist support to keep systems operational. That depth of commitment is rare in this industry.
TDM’s engineers have delivered CCTV installations in some of the most technically challenging environments in the UK, including live railway sites with overhead line equipment, listed buildings requiring heritage-compliant solutions, and multi-site programmes spanning dozens of locations simultaneously. Consequently, very little we encounter on a new project is unfamiliar. TDM’s use of Hanwha Vision equipment, the most widely deployed CCTV platform on the UK rail network, means our installations use technology that operators and maintainers already know and trust.
RISQS approved, NICEIC certified, and ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001 accredited. TDM holds the certifications required to work in the most demanding regulated environments. Furthermore, our ISO 27001 certification means the cyber security of the systems we deploy is managed to the same standard as our physical installations.
TDM does not subcontract installation. Instead, our own engineers design, install, commission, and maintain every CCTV surveillance system we deliver. Because of this, there is a single point of accountability throughout the project, and a team with direct knowledge of every system they support.

Our Track Record
TDM has delivered CCTV surveillance projects across a range of critical infrastructure environments. The following case studies demonstrate our capability across both new installations in complex operational settings and long-term legacy system maintenance.
TDM delivered a full SISS installation at Ivybridge Station for Great Western Railway, upgrading CCTV coverage, CIS displays and Help Points across both platforms. The project required complete ES4 and ES5 designs, new fibre and cabinet infrastructure, and a fully managed installation within a live station environment.
TDM was contracted by Great Western Railway to deliver a full CCTV installation at Newbury Racecourse station, a three-platform site with no prior surveillance coverage for Ticket Vending Machines or general monitoring. The project required working within a live railway environment featuring overhead line equipment, with primary services fed to the central island platform. Despite the complexity, all objectives were met within safety compliance requirements and with no impact on rail services.
TDM has provided CCTV maintenance for South Western Railway’s Metro control and recording equipment at Feltham and Wimbledon since 2005, a partnership now spanning over 18 years. When the original equipment manufacturer, Tecton, ceased trading in 2019, TDM acted quickly to safeguard system continuity, establishing specialist third-party support and building a dedicated test environment in our Crawley workshop. As a result, critical CCTV infrastructure remained fully operational throughout, with no disruption to live services.
