We create ultra-reliable communication systems providing information to the public, key staff and the emergency services.

As well as comprehensive customer information and public address systems, we develop solutions that can monitor environmental data or control
security infrastructure.More Rail

Today’'s motorways and highways are dangerous environments where a rapid response to a situation is often critical. Over 90% of the Swiss road network depends on our roadside emergency telephones which connect stranded motorists with a central office. Our system can allow base operators not just to speak directly to the roadside caller but to observe the situation via remote control CCTV. The operator is able to connect to the emergency services via the TETRA network and even place them in direct contact with the motorist. More Road

We can create fully integrated communications systems that allow port operators to remotely control and coordinate complex working environments. Our versatile systems are able to operate passenger information and public address systems as well as facilitating communications between dockside managers, access points and shipping. No two ports are identical but in collaborating with port operators we can provide a communications system which meets the precise needs of a given location.More Ports

Handling high volume passenger flow is a key part of the TDM portfolio. We meet the need for high vigilance in security conscious environments and the requirement for reliable customer information from car park to airport gate. We create site specific systems which provide a communications network that puts a central operator in control of the passenger information as well as the ability to coordinate airside engineers and emergency services.More Airports

For large industrial complexes such as oil refineries and gas terminals, we offer central management of access points, public address systems and CCTV as well as remote environmental monitoring such as fire detection and accompanying alarm systems. This enables a high level of security to be maintained in large high risk areas.More Energy

Our leading edge technology operates very effectively to maintain public safety in urban city centres. As well as providing a network of public information Help Points we are also able to install monitoring systems that can detect environmental events such as landslides, fire, and flood which can be combined with a public address system to play pre-recorded emergency warnings. Central operators can also coordinate emergency services while monitoring situations on CCTV. More Public Safety

TDM at Infra Oman

TDM at Infra Oman

Infra Oman 2015 was a great opportunity for TDM to bring our transport solutions to an international platform. Oman is an economically stable country in the Middle East, with a strong industrial base. Oman has received large scale investment over the past few years and is planning major infrastructure projects surrounding the Transportation industry, which will enhance the country’s access to international markets. The Infra Oman exhibition which took place in October demonstrated the strong historical links between the United Kingdom and Oman, with a large UKTI Delegation exhibiting at Infra Oman. TDM exhibited alongside the 40 strong UK companies who were supported by the Railway Association in the UK Pavilion. The exhibition also had attendees Australia, Austria, France, Germany, India, Italy, Lebanon, Kuwait, Malaysia, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Infra Oman was a great success for TDM, and this was due to the teamwork and enthusiasm shown by the British contingency. Middle East Expansion

Middle East Expansion

Our strong presence in the Middle East continued when Graham Bull and our CEO Geoff Vaughan visited Oman as part of the UKTI trade delegation at the British Embassy and the InfraOman exhibition. They are involved in several high level discussions about new rail projects in Oman which were also continued in Abu Dhabi at the NATRANS conference through our Middle East office. Are unmanned stations scaring away passengers?

Are unmanned stations scaring away passengers?

Unmanned and remote stations can leave passengers feeling vulnerable and reluctant to travel on the rail network. With 46,688 crimes reported to the British Transport Police last year alone, there is no doubt that a station with no visible members of staff can result in passengers feeling insecure about their safety. This lack of confidence can not only come from a safety perspective but also an information perspective. A passenger should be regularly informed of when a train will arrive either via station announcements or real-time displays. An absence of this information will hinder travel from that station in the future. At these stations, it is essential that there is a clear point of contact for the public. TDM’s range of Passenger Help Points offers just that. Our distinct white, round Help Points are easily identifiable and as pioneers of the original design from the 1990s have been installed for many Train Operating Companies in the UK. TDM’s range of high-quality, vandal- resistant Help Points will be able to provide direct information and assistance to the public. Once the Help Point button is pressed, this then allows the public to speak directly to an operator from any location. The operator is also able to observe the member of public via CCTV to monitor any emergency situations. To find out more about our range of Help Points please click here. Protecting London’s power supply

Protecting London’s power supply

As global threats increase, governments have placed increased security on Critical Infrastructure Targets, such as electrical stations. The National Grid, is one of the largest utility companies in the world and, is responsible for connecting power stations and substations to ensure that electricity is generated. The company has over 23 million customers and is responsible for supplying electricity across most of UK and North America. Trans Data Management was chosen to supply, test and install a substation intruder detection system in a North London location. This new substation, is a part of the £1billion London Power Tunnel development. The tunnelling project, due for completion in 2018, is creating a 32km electricity super highway in order to support the increasing electricity demands of London’s residents. Our security system for the substation has been installed to provide effective protection against intruders, ensuring the electricity supply to London’s residents is uninterrupted.
